After coming 2nd in the group stage, they won their semi final 3-0 against Reddish Villa only to face their opponents Horwich St Mary's in the final (who they lost 3-0 to in the group stage).

In the final, they won 1-0 thanks to a bullet free kick from Alex Kean - check the scenes out via the Newton Raiders page ... they are brilliant!

Coach Norm Kean commented 'the lads were fantastic throughout the day and played some fantastic stuff. As coaches, we teach the lads to train hard and play harder - after all the hard work I am glad that it has paid off and they have memories that will last a lifetime. We would like to thank the tournament organisers for such a well run tournament and I would like to thank the parents for their fantastic support as always'.
